Deer Watching

When we first moved into our new home, we were thrilled at the deer that visit our back yard daily. Thinking what a remarkable sight they are to see, and enjoying their antics, we figured we would never tire of seeing them on a daily basis.

Mom: "Have we seen any deer lately?"
Kids: "Think we saw some yesterday."
Dad: "I saw a huge buck looking at me through my window, scared the crap out of me."
Kids: "Have you seen any deer today?"
Mom: "Is that one over there laying down?"
Kids: "Where?"
Mom: "Over there" (points toward apple trees).
Kids: "Mom, thats a tree trunk"
Dad and Kids: Snickering and giggling.
Mom: "Hmmm...think I need new glasses."
